Preparation (applies to all clinics)

Regardless of whether your clinic already uses e-prescriptions in Provet or not, start with the following steps.

1. Find your Cloud ID and Clinic Location ID

You need your Cloud ID and Clinic location ID before you can activate the integration.

  • Cloud ID can be found in the web address: https://provetcloud.com/xxxx/

  • Clinic location ID can be found by opening your current clinic and going to Settings → Integrations.

If your clinic uses access restrictions for its environments, you need to retrieve the API address from VETiSearch and add it to your settings

2. Register with VETiSearch

Contact VETiSearch and register your clinic with them. Also register all users who will be able to prescribe e-prescriptions.

If your clinic already uses e-prescriptions in Provet

3. Book activation with Provet support

Contact Provet's support team or your Customer Success Manager to book a date and time for activation. Activation can only be performed by a support technician at Provet.

Note: Activation is irreversible – once completed, the old e-prescription flow will be deactivated. Make sure steps 1 and 2 are completed before booking.

4. Activate VETiSearch in Provet

Go to Settings → Integrations → Add application. Select VETiSearch Sweden and click Save.

If your organization has multiple clinic locations: add the application once and then activate it separately for each location.

When the integration is activated, Provet automatically creates a virtual user named "VETiSearch - Sweden" with the permission group "Integration: VETiSearch - Sweden" with the required permissions.

The integration is now ready. (In the background, Provet sends a web-hook to VETiSearch which retrieves the correct API key and creates custom integration buttons.)

5. Configure e-prescription settings

The old Swedish e-prescription settings will be replaced with new settings once activation is completed. In these settings, you can:

  • Enable Online prescriptions (if you used the previous solution, this is enabled by default).

  • Choose whether online prescriptions can be created as counter sales without a consultation. If this is not allowed, the VETiSearch button will only appear in the consultation, not on the client page.

  • Define which item should be added to the consultation or counter sale. VETiSearch will add the item to the active consultation or as a new invoice draft.

  • Choose whether an SMS message should be sent from Provet when the prescription is ready.

6. Start prescribing

You can prescribe e-prescriptions from two places:

  • From the patient page – note that prescriptions from the client page only (without patient selection) are not supported by VETiSearch. From the consultation page – the prescription will appear under the Online prescriptions menu option, on the patient and client pages, and in the Online prescriptions and Patient history tabs.

If your clinic does not yet use e-prescriptions in Provet
