Insert a text template to add saved text to clinical notes, discharge instructions, medicine instructions and client communications. Fields that support text templates have a template button.
Select the template button next to the field. A list of available text templates opens.
On the new consultation page, select + Add template in Consultation overview, Clinical notes or Discharge instructions. In Consultation overview, select View more first to see the Preliminary notes field.
On the old consultation page, select the Text templates button in Clinical notes or Discharge instructions. In Consultation details, select the pen button first, then select the Text templates button next to the Preliminary note field.
Elsewhere in Provet, such as medicine instructions or client communications, select the Text templates button.
Find the text template you want to use:
To filter the list, select All, Shared or Own. See the table below.
To search, type in the Search field and select whether to search Titles or Titles & texts.
For a clinical note, select a clinical note type from the drop-down list to show only text templates of that type.
Select Add.
If the text template includes text input fields or options, fill in the information and select Add text template.
The text is added to the field. For a clinical note in multi-note mode, you can select Add as draft instead to edit the clinical note later.
The table shows which text templates each filter shows.

Create Your Own Text Template from the Template List
Create your own text template directly from the text template list. Select Create preliminary note template, Create note template or Create discharge instructions template.
The buttons are shown when the Enable user-editable text templates setting is turned on for the clinic location. Without the setting, you see only shared text templates and text templates for all clinic locations.
To use your own clinical note template with AI Scribe, select the Enable this template for AI Scribe checkbox in the Create note template dialog.
