List of Placeholders

Placeholders automatically fill in information from a client, patient, or medicine item in your templates. You can use them in labels, forms, discharge instructions, and other text templates. The placeholders available in Provet are listed below.

You can find the available placeholders in a text field by typing double square brackets, [[. A drop-down list will appear with suggestions.

To add placeholders, you must configure them in the settings for each feature. You must have the necessary user permissions to access these settings. For example, you can add placeholders to text templates by going to Settings > Lists & Templates > Templates, and to labels by going to Settings > Integrations > Label Printing. Note: Microsoft Word–based forms cannot populate image placeholders, so [[supervising_vet_signature]] will not appear in Word documents. To include the signature image, use a PDF form and add an image field for this placeholder.
