Setup
You can connect the scil vIP software to Provet using a Windows application developed by the Provet team. If you do not already have a scil vIP software license, you need to acquire it from your local scil representative. You can do the setup yourself with your local IT administrator or order setup services from Provet.
Create a Laboratory Referral
Create and submit a referral according to the normal Provet laboratory referral workflow. Note that when beginning the panel on the equipment, the staff must add the matching patient ID that the laboratory referral was created for. Any panels performed without a referral and matching patient ID entered will not return results to Provet.
Receive and View Laboratory Results
When the results are available, they will be automatically uploaded to Provet and to the referral, as well as to the patient's history. For more information about viewing laboratory results, see View Laboratory Referrals and Results.
