Treatment estimates can be used to communicate treatment costs to animal owners before beginning procedures or when additional treatments are needed over a more extended hospital stay. Treatment estimates can be easily changed into actual invoice items.
Note: The new consultation page is being released from 16 September 2026. It becomes the default consultation page on 28 September 2026, and the old consultation page is planned to be retired in October 2026. Until then, you can switch between the two versions from the top of the consultation page. This article covers both versions.
On the Old Consultation Page
When a consultation has a treatment estimate linked to it, the estimate is shown on the consultation page under General info and in the left side-panel.
Select the estimate link on the consultation page. The Copy estimate items dialog opens.
Select the items you want to copy to the consultation. To copy every item, select All.
If necessary, adjust the item quantities and prices. You can edit the prices directly in the Price field, or use a percentage in the Percentage change field. For example, enter -50 for a 50% price reduction.
Select Copy. The copied items are added to the consultation page under Treatment items and are included on the invoice.
On the New Consultation Page
On the new consultation page, you copy estimate items from the Treatment items section.
Go to the Treatment items section of the consultation page.
Next to or add from, select Estimation. The Copy estimate items dialog opens.
Select the items you want to copy to the consultation. To copy every item, select All.

Depending on the clinic location settings, the consultation page can also show how much of the estimate has been used, and a warning when less than the defined percentage limit is left of the estimate sum.
