Clinics that operate after official hours often charge clinic location rates, meaning that a price increase is applied to consultation items due to higher staff costs during these hours. When clinic location rates have been set, they are automatically applied according to the settings when you add items on a consultation or a treatment estimate.
A royalty fee may also be in use for an item. In this case, the clinic location rates are only applied to a part of the item price.
By default, clinic location rates are automatically applied when you add an item on a consultation or treatment estimate. If you do not want to apply clinic location rates, select the No clinic location rates checkbox in the item dialog.
For example, if a 50% clinic location rate is used together with a 50% royalty fee, the rate is applied to only 50% of the item price. This increases the item price by 25%.
