Yes, by default, Provet allows you to create double bookings and overlapping appointments. The system will display a warning message, and you must check the box to confirm and approve the booking before saving it. This applies to both staff and resources. For example, you can book a single surgery room for two vets at the same time.
There is no specific setting in Provet to completely prevent double bookings or overlapping appointments but the checkbox Confirm double booking on the New appointment dialogue must be checked before the booking can be confirmed.
Online Bookings
For online bookings, a Preliminary booking time setting can temporarily block a slot. The first client who successfully saves their booking will secure the slot, the other client will get a warning “Chosen appointment time is no longer available”.
Individual User Settings
Individual users can enable the Prevent scheduling outside shifts setting in their personal details. This will prevent appointments from being booked for that user outside of their scheduled shifts. This setting does not prevent overlapping appointments within their shifts or for other users or resources.
