You can edit the price of an item on the invoice page, either by percentage or by changing the selling price. This is possible if your clinic settings and user permissions allow it, typically for invoices that are not yet finalized or paid. Editing item prices on an invoice can be used for discount purposes.
To edit the price of an item on an invoice:
Select the pen button on the end of the item row.
Change the price in the Price box by entering the new total amount.
Alternatively, you may adjust the price by entering a percentage increase or decrease in the Price change (%) box. This can be used for discount purposes.
Select the check mark button to save the changes.
Allow Editing Prices on Invoice Page
The ability to edit invoice prices is managed through specific user permissions. These can be found under: Settings > General > Users > Permission groups . Click the button with three dots and select Permission settings.
Change price on invoices: Grants the ability to change prices for all item types on invoices.
Change price on invoices on procedures: Grants the ability to edit prices for procedure items if Change price on invoices is not selected.
Change the price change on invoices: Grants the ability to modify the price change (%) column for all item types on invoices.
Change price change on invoices on procedures: Grants the ability to modify the price change (%) column for procedure items only if Change price change on invoices is not selected.
Note
These settings have been updated to provide more granular control. Users who had permission to change prices and price changes prior to the update will not be affected. However, administrators can now configure more specific permissions if needed.
Clinic Location Setting Affecting Price Editing
Settings > General > Clinic location > Clinic location settings:
Allow editing consultation treatment item prices: This setting enables the direct editing of the full item price on the consultation page. By default, this is only possible from the invoice page.
Note
If this setting is enabled, users can modify prices during the consultation even if their user permissions would prevent them from changing prices directly on the invoice page.
